A special assembly was conducted by students of CMRNPS, Grade 4C on 14th September 2021 to celebrate Hindi Diwas. I, being a student of 4C, feel extremely happy to be a part of this assembly and am going to share all the exciting events during the assembly with you all.
Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14 September marking the declaration of the Hindi language as one of the official languages of the Union government of India. On 14 September 1949, Hindi was adopted as one of the official languages of India.
It was a virtual assembly conducted on Zoom, with a duration of 30 minutes. We welcomed everyone by displaying a poster on ‘Hindi Diwas’ including some quotations on the Hindi Language, while in the background “Saare Jahan Se Achha” was played on piano by me.
The assembly was hosted by Veer and Ilisha. The program started with a Hindi shloka (prayer song) sung by Tanishka. After that Ilisha gave a short introduction about the assembly with her beautiful voice. Ria and Pratik spoke a few words about the historical importance of Hindi Diwas. Nishith shared the thought for the day “Shiksha sabse shaktishali Hathiyar hai jiska upyog aap duniya ko badalne ke liye kar sakte hain”, which tells that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.
Raghavan read the News headlines in Hindi. Aditi, Tapasya, Tanishka, and me, Sreenandita, sang a Hindi song, named “Hindi Bhasha Rashtra ki Bhasha” which received huge audience appreciation. Swayam and Shikha shared their thoughts about the importance of the Hindi Language. Some students spoke a few words about why they like Hindi. They feel proud of Hindi, they feel Hindi is an easy language to learn.
Hindi is not the language of anyone or two states but it is spoken throughout the country. I feel that Hindi makes us feel united. Hindi is the most spoken language in India and the third most spoken language in the world. Not everyone in India knows English, so if I want to talk to anyone in India, I should have basic knowledge of Hindi. English is indeed a global language, but one should not forget the identity of Indians which is very naturally rooted in the Hindi language.
I must not forget to mention that all the conversations, speaking, and reading were in the Hindi language only. We, as students of Grade 4, till now struggle a bit while speaking in our Hindi class. The practice work for the assembly on ‘Hindi Diwas’ helped us to achieve immense improvement in speaking and pronunciation of Hindi.
“Samay Ka Sadupyog” was a short Hindi story that was enacted beautifully by Aditi, Pratyusha, and Sai Pritish. The story gives us a message that we should learn about the right utilization of time. Their way of expressing the dialogues took our assembly to another level.
Our class teacher, Deepti ma’am, without whom we would not have been able to see the success of the day, inspired us with her motivational speech. Our coordinators, Suma ma’am and Swapna ma’am applauded our hard work, our dedication and the effort we, the students of 4C and our beloved class teacher have put in together to make this event a grand success. A special note of thanks to our Hindi teacher Neha ma’am who helped us with her valuable inputs.
The vote of thanks was from Rohan, followed by some credit slides where we displayed the pictures of the students of 4C mentioning their roles in the assembly. We all are very excited and thankful to our school for providing us with such a beautiful and engaging platform.
